Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

In 2011 and 2012, a group of friends took part in The Buachaille Dash.  We are doing it again this year on 22nd June 2013.

It starts at Rannoch Station and involves a 15 mile 'dash' across Rannoch Moor to Glencoe, follwed by climbing the Buachaille Etive Mor and then the 15 miles back across the moor finishing up back at Rannoch Station totalling just short of 35 miles.

We are taking part in memory of my twin sister Charlotte Pitstra who died from an undiagnosed heart condition. We have chosen 2 heart charities CRY and Arrhythmia Alliance which promote people to have their hearts checked and Help for Heroes as Charoltte herself was an Army Officer.

All donations, now matter how large or small, will be greatly appreciated.
