I am running the BUPA Great North Run on September 20th for Epilepsy Research UK and I hope that you can sponsor me and help me in achieving my goal, which is to raise £2,000. I am running for my oldest and dearest friend Fi who had epilepsy from a young age, and who tragically died last year.

Epilepsy Research UK supports the work of scientists and clinicians throughout the UK, who are investigating all aspects of epilepsy in both adults and children. They are especially looking at what causes epilepsy, who gets it, what goes on in the brain during a seizure, and safer drugs and better surgical techniques to treat it. Their annual research spending is about £800,000 - raised almost wholly through donations from the public, which is why your donation is so important!
