Long way to go for a Baguette

Visa Bike Ride 2013 · 25 September 2013 to 30 September 2013 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So my journey begins some 4 months ago at the start of summer when weather was great and warm sunny days driven my Chris Hoy's olympic gold medal victory in olympics I was ready to storm the cycling world - so much so that I started to cycle to work although painful to start with but I actually started to enjoy after few weeks
Around this time Visa Bike ride 2013 was annouced and being a avid rider doing 35 miles a day I put my name down for this but soon learnt I was way down the standby list and chances of me doing this ride was 10%. Anyway weeks and months passed by and at start of June I inquired my chances of getting on this ride and I was told it's not looking good when I inquired in July it was little better I was back up 10% and finally start of sept it was 0%, so imagine my surprise when yesterday I was told there is one final space that I can have.
Now there are several things I need to tell you.
1. I stopped biking since middle of Aug
2. Bike ride is next week
3. It's in France and covers approx 357 miles in 4 days
4. I may have put on a few lbs
So this is biggest physical challenge I have ever taken apart from putting my ski's on the first time while standing in middle of a red run.
I am very excited but at the same time absolutely sh@tting myself but I am up for a challenge.
Its for a great cause - which is UNICEF and as you know UNICEF is provides support to all childen regardless of your colour or crede.
So please please help me meet up target and give generously
