Story
Many of you will be familiar with a charity cycling event
I’ve been involved with for the past few years, Wheels for Change.
It’s a mass-participant cycling event, arranged by a small
team at Barclays off the side of our desks. This year we’re hoping to have c.400 participants and are aiming to raise £300,000 for The Prince’s Trust.
While I own a bike, it’s safe to say I’m not a cyclist and have avoided joining the challenge in past years. I’ve finally been convinced to take part, and while some might consider me a bit of a liability, encouraging me to wear a high-vis jacket in full daylight, I’m not letting that stop me…
It’s a 100km cycle starting and finishing at the Olympic Velodrome – I’m not going to lie, it’s going to be tough and I’m very much daunted by the challenge. That said, it’s for an amazing cause, and I’d appreciate any donations to spur me into training and doing the event!
