This July, I will be running (I say running, more like jogging/walking/crawling) the Westminster 10K!

Why? you ask. Violet, you hate running, you say. 

So I first came to London as a punky-twenty year old, on an exchange program. It was the first time I'd lived anywhere else other than my home in California. But I managed to spend an entire year living in this cobbled-road city by working two jobs and exploiting the Tesco reduced section. It was an incredible year that altered the course of my life completely. 

It's been nearly six years since I first stepped off that plane, and here I am - having upgraded to Tesco's finest and living my life in London! 

So, I'd like to give some other punky-twenty year old from my hometown and Alma Mater the same chance to study abroad and live in the awesome city of London. 

I've got a personal goal to raise £500.00. This amount would help cover the cost of: 

• 1/2 cost of a flight from CA to London (depending on who you fly with & sales)
• 5 months of travel within London, getting a student to class or an internship, or the museums and cultural sights... and pubs ;)
• A cozy new coat, winter boots, gloves, hat, sturdy umbrella and plenty leftover for groceries

I will appreciate any amount you can give - every little bit helps! Even kind words of encouragement as I train, because if you know me, you know I hate running. With a passion. But I've committed to doing this, so I'm gonna give it my best!
