As a former Lady Mayoress I know how much work the volunteer committee put in to raise funds each year for the Lord Mayor's charities.  Myself and the former Lord Mayor, Michael Wilkes appreciated this work very much and so this year, I am taking a deep breath and taking the plunge, so to speak with an abseil down the side of House of Fraser in Birmingham.
