We had talked about taking up a team challenge to raise money for Yorkhill Childrens Hospital and when we realised that Vodafone would match all charity dontations it made us even more determined to come together and take on a challenge to raise as much as we could for this worthy cause.

The 5 Ferry Challenge is an exciting journey through some of Scotland's most breathtaking scenery. It incorporates 4 cycle sections and 5 ferry crossing in and around North Kintyre and the Firth of Clyde with a total distance covered of 82 miles. As some of the ferries are more remote they run on a reduced time table so the challenge is not only cycling but making sure you make the ferry on time!!

We start at Ardrossan and get the ferry over to Brodick on Arran, cycle round the island to get the ferry from lochranza over to Argyle and Bute and cycle up to Tarbert. From there we get another ferry over to Portavadie and cycle up to Tighnabruaich then on following the Kyles of Bute and up and past Loch Riddon and back down its other side to Colintraive for the ferry over to Rhubodach and down into Rothesay for the last ferry over to Wemyss Bay.
