We provide dedicated care and support to Sheffield people with terminal illness

Story

Thank you to all who suported our triple jump. We did it Saturday morning (5 Oct) and enjoyed the trip. Even the Powerfan was exhilarating! You have only to look at this page to see that we have raising an amazing amount and still more to come in off-line. If you have not donated already, please do so now.

We are helping St Luke's raise £5m for the new 21st Century In-Patient Unit which is now open to patients. Chris + Tonyhave done the Triple Whammy on 5th October 2013 at the Magna Centre - once part of British Steel:

1) From 70ft up we sailed down a 250ft Zip Wire across the melting pots of the Magna Steelworks - over too quickly!;

2) We climbed up almost into the roof onto a gantry 150ft above the floor of Magna and then Abseiled down into thin air;

3) The Powerfan - having climbed back up to the gantry, we stepped off another 150ft platform into space and within seconds landed safely on the floor with just the incredible force of the Powerfan to ensure we floated to a soft landing - an awsome feeling!

Sounds great! Check it out on the youtube link below.  You can do it yourself, you do not have to be collecting for charity - just do it for fun. Thank you to all who helped us raise money for this vital update to the facilities of St Luke's Hospice. They still need your support to help those with a life limiting illness - one day it could be you.

About the charity

St Luke’s is an independent charity caring for terminally ill adults and their loved ones across Sheffield. Each year, we care for around 1,900 patients most of whom are cared for in their own home by our Specialist Palliative Care Community team.
