Story
Hi chaps, thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. This year I'll be taking part in the Prague Marathon on May 8th in aid of the UK's largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer now. As many of you know I'm no Mo Farrah when it comes to running... One even asked if I'd had a few beers before signing up, however I've chosen this challenge to put myself through my paces and raise money for a fantastic charity that's very close to my heart.
Breast Cancer is the most common cancer here in the UK, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime, this disease also affects men, on average another man is diagnosed with breast cancer every day in the UK alone. Spreading awareness of this horrible disease in both men and women is vital in raising funds and improving knowledge. Over the last 20 years, the mortality rate of breast cancer in the UK has dropped from 39.9% to 24%, this translates to over 21,000 lives saved through your donations. Any money you're able to donate towards this marathon would mean a huge amount and will go towards Breast Cancer Now's life changing research across the world.(http://breastcancernow.org/about-us)
Regards, Will
