We are a group of adults and young people from Waverton, Chester who are fundraising to support the work of Kids Alive in Bokoiji, Ethiopia.  In August 2012,  5 adults and 26 young people plan to spend two weeks in Bokoiji.  We'll take bags and bags of aid, run holiday clubs for the children and do a variety of practical tasks. 

When Kids Alive visited Bokoiji in 2005, they found the local school had two mud-built classrooms in which they taught 220 children.  There was no water, no toilets, no books, no pencils, no food and no smiles.  Kids Alive were struck by the abject poverty and desperate need of the people in this town.  The situation is improving, but there are so many who need are help.

 We want to take as much aid with us as possible, to make a significant difference to the lives of children and adults in this extremely poor community. Please help us raise money to support our work next Summer.
