Story

A group of women from East London empowered by WEN to grow their own organic food walked across burning HOT coals on the 10th of December to raise money for WEN.

The women had been so inspired by the Spice It Up course that they decided to step outside their comfort zone to help WEN offer more food training to women. You can find out more about WEN's current work a thttp://www.wen.org.uk/your-wen/.

Surviving unscathed after walking over 20 feet of coals burning at 1200 degrees Fahrenheit, took a lot of courage, and your support so far really helped!

You have already raised over a massive £4000 for WEN's Local Food and Climate Change campaigns! So let's keep the momentum going! If you haven't yet sponsored the brave firewalkers, there is still time. Just click on 'donate' at the bottom of this page, alternately you can send us a cheque, payable to WEN, addressing the envelope 'Firewalk challenge.' Please donate whatever you can, big or small, every bit shows your support.

For more details please take a look at the WEN website at www.wen.org.uk. This includes contact details and proof that 30 brave WEN supporters, staff, trustees, volunteers and trainees really did walk over burning hot coals!
