Story

Wacky Race 2 - a mad charity challenge!

On Friday the 18th May 2012 at 10:00 am, three teams will be starting in three different locations on the Cumbrian coast - Ravenglass, St Bees and Whitehaven.

Each three man team will try to complete a gruelling 48 hour, 120 miles, 4000m climb/descent traversing the Cumbrian mountains and Pennines walking non-stop back to Roker in Sunderland.

A C2C slog and basically the first team back to Sunderland will be the winner.

The event is extremely tough, but nothing compared to what people have to deal with when suffering from Parkinson's disease. So please dig deep and together we can try and raise some hard earned cash for Parkinson's UK, a charity dedicated to supporting people and researching the disease.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
