I have always had an interest in cycling from a young age, but this interest has grown in the last 3-4 years due to Conrad, my mums' partner. He's a very keen cyclist and got me interested enough to take up cycling as a hobby. Three years ago we went and watched a Tour de France stage of the Mont Ventoux which is one of the most famous and gruelling stages of the Tour, this experience has given me massive respect towards cyclists and some of the extraordinary feats they can achieve.
Another interest I have is that of travelling and this summer I didn't just want to just get a summer-job or bum around at home, so I thought that putting these two interests together would be a fantastic way to visit some places in Europe I have never visited before whilst keeping fit and being out in the open.
I know this seems an outlandish aim to try and cycle close to 2,200km in less than 2 months, but I feel along with my cycle partners of Sean and Charles it can be done and hopefully we raise some money for very good causes whilst having a trip whilst hopefully I will have fond memories of for the rest of my life!
So please dig deep and donate now.

***UPDATE***
Finally finished took 7 weeks in total however we did end up having a week off in the Italian Riviera and the journey back from Venice we had stop offs in Zagreb, Budapest, Brastislava, Vienna, Prague and finally Berlin where we flew home from. It was a fantastic experience, surprising myself on what I could actually achieve. Sean had to leave unfortunately in Venice, as he ran out of money but he just hit the 1000 mark. Charlie who I fortunately also met in Venice did the last 1200 miles with me. Myself and Charlie on our way back in the last 3 weeks were consistently hitting 100-120 mile days, which is no mean feat after already doing so many miles with so much weight carried on our bikes.
Please dig deep and support our fallen men and women!
