Truan and Ben's 100 mile walk · 30 April 2013

The Brittle Bone Society provides support for people affected by the rare, and painful bone condition Osteogenesis Imperfecta. It provides specialist advice, support and equipment to people with the condition, their families and carers, medical and other professionals.

Story

This summer, Ben and Truan (me) will:

Walk 100 miles (in 3-4 days) along the Heart of England Way!

This is our second charity challenge. A few years ago, we completed 'Canoe100' for breast cancer research. Canoeing 100 miles in 3 days was the hardest physical challenge I've ever had.

My Aunt Elaine was born with Brittle Bones 'Osteogenesis Imperfecta' which means she has suffered from many broken bones during her lifetime. She is the most positive, content person you could ever hope to meet and she always talks about the great work that the BBS does.

BBS - the Brittle Bone Society helps to raise money for wheelchairs for children diagnosed with BBS.

As well as this, BBS provides a great support network for people with ''Osteogenesis Imperfecta'.
