My story

UPDATE: We've done it, it was torture. Who'd have thought Northumberland was so hilly? Haha! And tents were a bit too close for comfort - snoring in surround sound. But no pain, no gain as they say and it's all for a good cause. If anybody wants full details a blog is available - just email wendy.walker@ypn.co.uk

Thanks for your continuing support, we couldn't have done it without you. xx

Hi, thanks for visiting our justgiving page. We are sports journalists hoping to prove action speaks louder than words. We are giving up our home comforts to trek Hadrian's Wall for the BSF in September, sleeping in a tent and living out of a rucksack along the way. That might seem like fun to some, but it's "I'm NOT a celebrity but get me out of here" stuff for us. We are covering the entire cost of the organised trip ourselves, while the BSF is wholly funded by the British Association of Dermatologists, meaning every pound you donate will go towards much-needed research into skin cancer and other diseases. Wendy had a tumour removed from her face last year, the treatment was aggressive and the scars will be there forever - but she is one of the lucky ones. Eight million people in the UK currently have a skin condition and 4,000 of those will die. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure, and you can do it anonymously if you wish..Please donate now - every pound counts. Thankyou.
