<p>Most of you will probably already know by now, that&nbsp;despite seriously breaking my back in a paragliding accident in 2008, I have carried on running against all the odds, through my&nbsp;sheer stubborness and without any support from the Hospitals after refusing any form of surgical intervention.&nbsp;</p> <p>I continue to run because I love it and I don't want an injury to get the better of me. &nbsp;Because&nbsp;I had a second chance,&nbsp;I want everyone to&nbsp;have second chances, and that is why I&nbsp;raise money for Shelterbox.</p> <p>Shelterbox&nbsp;gives people&nbsp;a chance to start over when they have lost everything.&nbsp;I started over after losing my legs temporarily, and the journey has been hard, but I was incredibly&nbsp;lucky because I have&nbsp;amazing friends that&nbsp;supported me.&nbsp; Shelterbox is that support for so many that have nobody and who have become victims of natural disasters and war zones through no fault of their own.&nbsp; They provide emergency shelter that is vital if these people&nbsp;are to stay alive.&nbsp; They cannot do this without your donations.&nbsp;</p> <p>Charity&nbsp;never ends and although&nbsp;I know many of you have been incredibly generous in sponsoring me in the past, and must be bored of me asking it of you again, I am afraid I will never stop asking because I will never stop supporting those who deserve it.&nbsp;</p> <p>Shelterbox&nbsp;will always, always need your help, so please, please make this donation count and make the runs I do count for something too, rather than making me look like a complete and utter loony for wanting to run in temperatures over forty degrees C with a 10 kg rucksack on my back across sand .....</p> <p>Thank you x</p>
