Action for Bind People are an amazing charity providing much needed support for blind and partially sighted people, but it is not just the services that they provide, but the people who provide them, who do so with grace, respect, compassion and a level of personal responsibility that is pretty rare.
Living with sight loss can lead to poverty, isolation, exclusion and then some or it can lead to quality education, great careers and participation in an inclusive society. A shocking 65% of blind and partially sighted people of working age in the UK are unemployed and that is not due to lack of ability, but lack of opportunity.
Sure. I blog, tweet and advocate and will continue to do so for the rest of my life, but without donations, my work is meaningless. I am living proof that your donation can make a difference. So, dust off your wallets and get donating........
