Wates Development team Hike Challenge 2016 · 12 August 2016

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

On Friday 12th August 2016 three intrepid members of the Wates Development team:  Stephen Sprinter Sedgley, Flash Jordan VanLaun and Emma get-up-there Gruenbaum embark on the Wates Group Big Black Mountains Challenge to raise money for the Prince's Trust charity.

This company wide charity hike event consists of 24 employees tackling a 31 mile (50k) hike in under 12 hours.  The Black Mountains form part on the Brecon Beacons and we will cover a total of 1,858 metres over 15 climbs each at 660 metres or more above sea level.

We are attempting to beat last year's 3 Peaks challenge which saw us five of us raise over £4,000.

Happy hiking :-)
