My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was very fortunate to receive a ballot place in this year’s Virgin London Marathon. Over the moon? You bet!
I couldn't let the opportunity pass me by to try and raise some much needed funds for a charity that supports children with additional needs (and their families) that’s local to me. Many disabled children are denied access to mainstream play opportunities and family support due to physical, social and cognitive barriers. PARC (the charity) was set up in 1995 by a group of parents of disabled children in direct response to the lack of local play opportunities and respite care.
With your sponsorship (and my legs ...... not a pretty sight) we can contribute and help support an area of our society that doesn’t tend to find itself in the spotlight.
Could you please help me achieve the sponsorship target? Just a few pence would make a difference, so please, dig deep.
IF you happen to be mad enough to travel into central London on April 22, please come and shout your support as I (hopefully) jog past (as opposed to grovel) it would be great to see you :0)

PARC believes that every child has a right to play and children with disabilities need play opportunities which allow for individuality and ability whilst ensuring safety, freedom and choice.
