Story

My Royal Marsden Story began when I went to visit my Uncle Rob in Hospital - but London Transport meant that I missed visiting times!

My Uncle has Lupus and has been battling his condition for many years. Throughout it all the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity has been there offering the best care and support for Rob that he could wish for - and continues to do so, to this day.

In 2014 I ran the Stockholm Marathon to raise some funds and unfortunately collected an injury along the way - finishing in 5 hours 20 minutes. Since then I have done very little exercise! I am however determined to complete a Marathon injury free, and prove that just because I’m fat, it doesn’t mean I’m not fit!!!!

Again I need to ask for your help and support - every penny that I raise will make every step, every early morning run, every sore muscle, & every chafed thigh that much easier to handle. I will know that I am raising much needed funds for a very important charity. And hopefully proving to myself that I can do it along the way.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.

From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

So please, if you can, donate to this wonderful cause.
