My name is Wayne and will be running the half marathon in St Albans on the 12th June. I am running it to raise funds for a youth group for teenagers on the autism spectrum in Welwyn Garden City.

 

I have run this youth group for the National Autistic Society for seven months. The youth group takes place on a Monday night for people aged 13-17 with Asperger syndrome / high functioning autism.


The youth group gives these people a chance to be with others like themselves and learn new skills that will help them through school at what can be a very difficult time.


All money that I raise will go to funding the youth group so we can keep it going and give these young people a chance to have fun, learn new skills and interact in a relaxed environment.  If you would like to help this cause and sponsor me that would be amazing and would be very much appreciated
