Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Over the course of the year we have planned a few events that are varied in discipline but are mostly endurance related, and as with any endurance challenge the aim is to push our current physical state to the limit of retching and fight the desire of going home to a warm, dry, sofa to watch You've Been Framed.

Some of completed challenges in 2013 included;

 - Running 26 miles from Tantallon castle to Edinburgh castle

- Running 40 miles of the Speyside Way - Sadly we fell short of our target of 65 miles due to injury but these things happen and on a positive note - we did eat a lot of cake!

 - Iceland..... A two day unsupported run in the wilds with frozen feet and solid water bladders.

aaaaaaaaand what ever else we think of as the year progresses.

Scottish Mountain Rescue consist of 25 volunteer mountain rescue teams and 2 search and rescue dog associations with over 1000 volunteers, that's right volunteers! This is in addition to 3 police teams, 2 RAF teams, and Scottish Cave Rescue. Financial support from the public is essential in the provision of an effective, fully trained, and equipped service, so all donations are welcomed and gratefully received.
