Story

On 28th June,  68 Lower 6th pupils at Wellington College undertook an amazing challenge set by the Musikscool team.  They had to write and record an original 5 track music CD from scratch and use it to raise money for DebRA, with a target for £10,000

DebRA is an organization that helps individuals who suffer from Epidermolysis Bullosa with daily needs and research into cures or aid for the condition. Epidermolysis Bullosa or EB is a genetic condition that causes severe skin abnormalities such as blisters and cuts. It is an extremely painful and distressing condition, especially for young children, and individuals who are affected have to be dressed in bandages to protect their open wounds from further damage or infection.

Wellington College is a regular supporter of DebRA, based as it is in the same village of Crowthorne, Berks.

This short YouTube video shows the pupils in action during the event:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Lc8VZcqCT0

In the event , this hugely challenging target has been beaten (thus breaking the record for musikscool’s events), and the school is now pressing on to see whether it can beat the record of £23,000 set by a leading jet engine manufacturer.

Please help us to beat our target by donating what you can.  If you would like a copy of the CD, please leave your address details when you make your donation.  Don’t forget we can raise even more if you elect to Gift Aid your donation.
