Story

My Mum, Wendy, died on 26th June 2011. Its been a great shock to all of us, as it was very unexpected.

Mum was a great animal lover and saw it as her duty to look after the local wildlife. She fed the birds in the garden on a regular basis and had attracted a host of foxes and badgers which were fed a diet of luxury every evening. I was very puzzled when I did some shopping for my parents a while ago and she asked me to buy dog food and dog biscuits - they had four cats. It transpired that the dog food was for the very spoilt badgers...

Dad and I decided that rather than having flowers at her funeral, it would be very appropriate to donate money to a wildlife charity. Secret World Wildlife Rescue are an excellent local charity who Mum greatly approved of and so we'd like the money to go there.

Please give whatever you can, it doesn't matter how small. I'd really like to get to £1000, which might be a bit ambitious, but it would be enough to care for an orphaned badger cub right through to its release in the wild, which Mum would have loved.
