In an attempt to shake off the winter blues the Chief Fire Officer, Vij Randeniya, together with a dedicated support team of West Midlands Fire Service employees, has decided to climb up Snowdon to raise money for the Firefighters Charity and Help for Heroes. If the climb wasn’t a challenge enough Vij will do it wearing full Breathing Apparatus (BA), Drager PSS 7000!! This BA is a new piece of equipment and West Midlands Fire Service are the first in the UK to introduce this into frontline operation.
For the past few months the team have been training as hard as possible (well mainly Vij…) to get fit enough to do this challenge so please dig deep and donate what you can for these two worth while causes – hopefully this will keep us going!
Two Just Giving pages have been created and donations made on this page will be given direct to the Firefighters Charity. If you would like to give your money to the Help for Heroes, or split it between the two, please go to this page:-
