Story
On 29 November 2012, West View House and Choice Support are doing a sponsored walk to raise money for Basics Bank in Winchester. We will buy toys and presents for underprivileged families and any food supplies they need for the Christmas period.
Winchester Basics Bank provides emergency food and clothes to individuals and families in need and aims to make appropriate resources available to the maximum number of people at their point of greatest need.
Service users of West View House are keen to give something back to their local supporting charities and Winchester Basics Bank are an essential part of their lives as they provide 5 days worth of food supplies and clothes four times a year or for when residents at West View House fall on hard times.
Basics Bank are fantastic service and we hope here at West View House to be able to raise awareness of poverty and homelessness in our local area and to be able to bring some joy into peoples lives especially around the Christmas period.
