Story

Hi My name is Rachel, I work as one of the Practice Nurses at Whiworth Medical Centre. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Monday 5th October the Whitworth Medical Centre is opening its doors to stage a coffee morning raising money for CLIC Sargent. We will be selling homemade cakes, Tea Coffee and juice, our Patient Participation Group will be involved along with staff who have given their time up to make this happen.

Why CLIC Sargent.....

2 years ago one of my closest friends was told her 2 year old daughter has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Understandably my friend and her Family were devastated.

A group of friends and family got together and formed Team Anna, a fund raising team who have raised money tirelessly over the past 2 years for CLIC Satgent a childrens cancer charity who have supported the Brooks family during Anna's battle and 2 years of treatment.

Over the past 2 years we have raised in excess of £13,000 for CLIC Sargent. we have a reputation for a good cake sale!!  We have also done numerous sponsored events and a non-uniform day with many schools in the Rossendale area taking part.

Anna is now in remission and last week rang the end of treatment bell at Manchester Childrens Hospital to mark the end of her Chemotherapy.

What a way to celebrate.... with Cake!!!! So we really hope you will come along and support us, or please leave us a donation here on out Just Giving Site.
