Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Health Improvement Project Zanzibar (HIPZ) is a fabulous charity that I will be supporting through a number of events throughout 2012 and early 2013. Each of these will act as training for my
ULTIMATE FUNDRAISING CHALLENGE – a 10 day cycling trek around the island of Zanzibar, cycling around 240km in 6 days.
I have pledged to raise the above amount to help HIPZ continue the fabulous work they are doing across the country.
Did you know:
· The average life expectancy in Zanzibar is 47 years
· 1 in 180 women die during delivery of their child
· 1 in 6 children die under the age of 7 with the majority dying when aged less than 2 years
HPIZ is changing this.
The HPIZ vision is to develop high quality, accessible and trusted healthcare facilities and clinical services in Zanzibar.
Recently, through charitable support such as yours, they were able to rebuild and equip the Makunduchi Hospital with a renovated operating theatre and ward, a blood transfusion service, ambluance service for pregnant women and a newly build maternity unit.
At the request of the Government of Zanzibar, HIPZ has been tasked with taking on the renovation of a second, even more challenging hospital at Kivunge.
Please help me by donating to this very worthwhile cause, giving as much or as little as you can - every penny counts :)
Thanks Again for your Continued Support!
