Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
My journey from John O'Groats to Lands End isn't just a cycle ride - but also a tour of some of Britain's sporting heritage and some key partners of Sporting Equals. That makes it over a thousand miles, and will take from 8-19 July.
I'd really appreciate it if you can follow my tour at www.sportingequals.org.uk because the real purpose of the journey is to raise awareness of Sporting Equals who work in partnership with sports national governing bodies and community organisations to promote ethnic diversity across sport and physical activity.
There is still a big job to do, as the facts about under-representation of black and minority ethnic groups in participation, volunteering and employment in sport demonstrate, but the result will be that Britian is a more inclusive society - and more successful at sport.
Over the last three years I've seen some inspirational community initiatives which have raised sports particpation across ethnic boundaries, often with little funding. By promoting such projects we can encourage and inspire others, so need to raise a small fund to recognise and support Britain's best community sports projects. In short, a small contribution will go a long way to make Britain healthier, fairer - and win more.
Thank you very much for following my journey, and supporting Sporting Equals.
