Some of you may know that in 2010 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Thanks to advances in science, technology, medicine and a leading team of consultants, my condition is now stable and although I have to wait for 3 more years until I get the all-clear the prognosis is extremely positive. I was delighted to be invited to join the Committee of rugby legend Lawrence Dallaglio's charity, the Dallaglio Foundation, which is raising money for Cancer Research UK's cutting edge ICGC research project into prostate cancer. The work of this research will hopefully go a long way to ensuring that, in the future, more men with prostate cancer will be successfully treated and will enjoy long and happy lives.
