Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

On 18th September, I will be doing the Great North Run for Parkinson's UK. Parkinson's is a cruel, progressive neurological condition which two of my grandparents suffered from for many years. Whilst I can no longer help either of them, I have decided to attempt the GNR to raise money to support its sufferers and to work towards finding a cure.

Parkinson's UK is a support and research charity which aims to find a cure for Parkinson's. The money they raise goes towards research, providing advice, funding a freephone helpline and campaigning for support, care and treatment.

As you probably know, I am not a natural runner and this is a very big challenge for me. I have already been training for several months and am determined to make sure I can complete the run without the help of an ambulance!!!

I would, therefore, be very grateful if you could consider sponsoring me in my fundraising attempts. Parkinson's UK are a fantastic charity which I am enormously proud to be running for however they are entirely dependent on voluntary donations.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you,
