Pottering from Palace to Palace again

Participants: The merry throng will have about 5,000 riders. Courteous road users all, but motorists on the route might plan a little extra time to admire the inspiring sight.

The Prince's Trust Palace to Palace 2016 · 2 October 2016 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I know people who have been helped by the Prince's Trust, and I have been impressed with the charity itself. A no-nonsense, sleeves rolled up, get-stuck-in sort of an operation that changes the lives of the young people helped and the young volunteers. The sort of organisation that uses your donation to seed a disproportionate amount of support from the community. I urge you to support it.
I am conscious that I am urging the same, fairly small, group of the generous year after year. And that I am getting a nice day out (the weather is absolutely guaranteed to be the last sunny day of the year, I hear).
Still, Will and Ross at Evans Cycles in Reading were kind enough to provide me with Bikey (in exchange for nothing but an absurd amount of cash), so I'll be displaying the puffing paunch around the byways of West Berks for the next month or three.
So, console yourselves that the weather may be foul this year, the training is bound to have moments of damp (there was an extended such moment yesterday) and the sum of my suffering will be truly heroic. And pay up!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Joking aside, we all have many calls on our charity pound. And on our other pound. If you are casting around for good causes, this is one.
Whether or not you send money this way, thank you for reading.
