At Macmillan, we will move mountains to help people with cancer live life as fully as they can. We’re doing whatever it takes. But without your help we can’t support everyone who needs us. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am part of a group of 13 medics from Warwick University, set out to climb the 3 highest mountains in the UK in 24 hours - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

  • Ben Nevis (1,344 m, 4,409ft)
  • Scafell Pike (978m, 3,209ft)
  • Snowdon (1,085m, 3,560ft)

The total distance walked is estimated at 44 km (27 mi),with a total ascent of 9,800 feet (3,000 m). (1/3 of Everest in 24 hours!!!!).

It is not small feat - but we are crazy enough to give it a go!!!!!

We will be setting off from the foot of Ben Nevis at 5pm on Monday 17th June and finishing the challenge at the bottom on Snowdon at 5pm Tuesday 18th June. Driving and climbing non-stop throughout the night.

We are doing this challenge in aid of Macmillan cancer support. It is a tremendous charity, the work of the macmillan nurses is fantastic. Since starting our degree we have seen too much the effect of cancer on people's and family life so any donation you could give would be so appreciated.

Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 28%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.

So please dig deep and donate now.
