Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page to discover why I am raising money for The Arsenal Foundation by trekking across the desert from The Dead Sea to Petra in March 2022 (postponed from the original 2020 date).

The Arsenal Foundation uses the power of football and the Arsenal name to inspire and support young people across the globe. In
partnership with Save the Children, The Arsenal Foundation has codeveloped the ground-breaking Coaching for Life programme which utilises football to improve the mental wellbeing of children affected by conflict and violence.

I am going to join Arsenal Legends David Seaman and Per Mertesacker, and 100 fellow fans to demonstrate my support for Arsenal and The
Arsenal Foundation. I have been an Arsenal fan for over 40 years and for part of that time I have enjoyed giving my time to kids football in the community with the local football club. This is now a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me to give something back in a different way – a tough but exciting challenge to train for over the coming months that will improve the lives of children in the less affluent parts of the world such as the Za’atari Refugee Camp in Jordan and the slum communities of Jakarta, Indonesia. 

I can confirm that all funds raised will go towards this ground-breaking Coaching for Life programme. Inspired by a fellow team member, I will also promise to match any donation from a Tottenham supporter - just be sure to highlight the fact!
