As usual I have left things to the last minute, but my challenge is to reach the target prior to starting the triathlon on sunday - can you help!!

 

As many of you will know my Brothers wife, Paula,  passed away in September last year as a result of a rare condition called cardiac Amyloidosis.

Richie is keen friends and family to ‘do some distance’ for Paula for a chosen Charity – Winston’s Wish who support bereaved children. The charity provided invaluable support and advice to Richie in the early days and I’m sure will be there again for Holly and Sam if required.

To kick things off I am doing the Stratford Triathlon on 12 May. I have never done a triathlon before and although I am doing the Sprint version ( 400m swim, 25km cycle & 5km run) I’m sure it will prove a challenge.Training has been interesting, swimming being a challenge, cycling causing me an injury and running going ok! My hope is to complete it in 1hr 30mins, but main reason is to raise some money for Winston’s Wish in Paula’s  name.
