Story
Thank you for coming to this page.
I decided to do this cycle ride whilst in Georgia simply for enjoyment. Then I received this article-
http://tomsbiketrip.com/about-the-time-i-discovered-how-to-travel-100-money-free/
After reading I decided I would not only cycle to Scotland but would also cycle with no money. Consequently, I will post my wallet to Edinburgh and cycle to catch up with it. From telling Robbie and others my idea many suggested I do it to raise money for charity.
So I have chosen to raise money supporting women's rights and education in Turkey. Recent events and political leadership in Turkey have seen murders, domestic violence and sexual harassment towards women triple in number in 10 years. Criminal acts such as those in Mersin (see the link below) show a national problem in a beautiful nation. This problem, as far as I can make out, is not being addressed on a Governmental level as the ruling party looks to consolidate its power instead of addressing its responsibilities to its citizens.
Consequently, through I small cycle ride and your donations I hope we can at least raise awareness to the malpractices that exist in Turkey and globally. Thank you
P.S the link below directs you to my co-cyclist Robbie Stevens' justgiving page.
