Winchester BABIES Buggy Fun Day 2010 · 1 August 2010

Our vision is that everyone who becomes a parent feels confident, connected, and safe because we believe parents help build the foundations of the future. Every year we support over 250,000 parents on their unique journeys through pregnancy, birth, infant feeding, and early parenthood.

Story

NCT Winchester Branch BABIES Buggy Fun Day – Sunday 1st August 2010

To register for the Buggy Push (3km route, start 10.30am) or the 5km Run (start 12 noon) – we suggest a £5 donation on this page (although you are welcome to come along donating more or less than this), and enter the word 'Buggy Registration' or ‘5km Registration’ in the comment section on the last page.  A single registration can cover a family.  We look forward to seeing you on the day.

Many Thanks for your support

Babies and Breastfeeding Information Encouragement Support (BABIES)
Winchester NCT Branch runs BABIES, which is a weekly drop-in breastfeeding support group for mums seeking support and information about breastfeeding. It is run by Jane Moffett and Jennie Gavin, both NCT Breastfeeding Counsellors, and is held weekly on Wednesday mornings at the Lanterns Children’s Centre Winchester. The drop-in sessions are open to any breastfeeding or pregnant woman in Winchester and the surrounding area and no appointment is necessary.

BABIES Funding Crisis
BABIES costs approximately £5,000 annually to run and is available 51 weeks of the year. It was started in May 2007 and has received funding from the NCT Winchester branch, An Awards For all Grant and donations from Lanterns Children's Centre. These funds have now been exhausted and BABIES will be forced to close in 2010 without new funding. BABIES is now only running by very kind donations and fundraising by users of the service, their friends and families and the local community.
