Story
We know that you, like us, will have been watching the coverage of the aftermath of the 12th January earthquake in Haiti with a mixture of contrasting emotions - from shock at the scale of the loss of life, to bewilderment at the continued suffering of the survivors.
We read that Haiti was already the poorest country in the western hemisphere, that nearly 40 per cent of its population is under the age of 14, and that children have been badly affected by the disaster.
And as we watch and read, there has been a voice in our heads which has been getting louder and louder as it asks: "What are you going to do?"
Well, it is time for us to take a stand.
We have decided to raise funds to support UNICEF's relief programme in Haiti by holding a sponsored three-legged race for the whole School on Sunday 21st March 2010.
We do not often get the opportunity, as children, to make a difference in the lives of others, but we are clear that we have that chance now.
Will you take a stand with us?
