We support grieving children & young people to help them achieve their full potential.

Story

We are a Team of over 20 mums (and a couple of dads!) who are taking part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival May 26 - 27th 2012 in aid of Winston's Wish. The Festival includes 5km, 10km, Relay, Half and Full Marathon distances (the 5 & 10 km are particularly gruelling as the route is around Arthur's Seat so definitely NOT a simple walk in the park!).
Winston's Wish helps bereaved children and young people rebuild their lives after a family death. They offer practical support and guidance to families, professionals and anyone concerned about a grieving child. They want children and young people to be able to express their grief, remember the important person who died and at the same time be able to face the future with hope. Each year Winston's Wish helps over 500 children directly through their unique programme of individual and group work. Many more benefit as a result of calls to their helpline and the training they deliver to other professionals. Every single penny that we raise will make such a difference to the work that they do. Thank you.
