National 3 Peaks Challenge · 29 May 2010

When You Wish Upon a Star has a simple mission: to grant the Wishes of children living with a life threatening illness. Wishes have the power to transform the lives of children and families. Since 1990, we have proudly granted over 19,000 Wishes across the UK. We'd love you to be part of the magic!

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Saturday 29th May 2010 Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team and local partners including the CO-OP Trowell Road Wollaton and Nottm University Samworth Academy will be taking part in the National 3 Peaks Challenge in aid of Wish Upon A Star, whose aim is to grant the “Wishes” of children suffering from a life threatening illness, from the age of 2 to 16.

This is an endurance challenge taking on the 3 biggest mountains in the country within a 24hr period - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

The distance walked is around 25 miles, the height climbed is around 10,000 feet, and the distance travelled between the mountains is some 450 miles.
