Story

I would like to raise some money for the British Heart Foundation as they have helped me and my family considerable in the past few years and I am sure will carry on for many years to come. A few years ago myself, my brother and cousins were diagnosed with a genetic heat condition called Long QT Syndrome, which in 1985 resulted in my 16 cousin dying very suddenly. Since then medicine has improved and the disease is detectable, therefore we now have internal cardio defibrillators fitted to our hearts, that will prevent sudden death or fainting. If it wasn't for the BHF and the excellent medical support I have had I probably wouldn't be as mentally strong and educated in my condition. I am doing this bike ride also to prove that even with a heart condition like mine your life does not have to change....If fact I don't think I would be doing a lot of the things i am doing now if it wasn't for the medical attention and advice I have recieved.
