Hi guys!

Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page.

I am attempting set a Guinness World Record by becoming the first person to row around the world on a land rowing machine. Situated in The Malls Shopping Centre in Basingstoke, north Hampshire, I will raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer by rowing 40,075 km (25,047 miles) - the total distance around the earth's equator. In order to complete this challenge, I will row between seven to eight hours a day, five to six days a week, for the next two and a half years.

The row began in Basingstoke on 28th May 2008 and will follow a virtual course across West and Eastern Europe, Russia, Western Canada, Western USA, Central America, the northern region of South America, the Atlantic Ocean and North West Africa before heading back up through South West Europe, around the UK and returning to Basingstoke on 18th December 2010.

Please donate as much or as little as you can afford, every bit helps.

If you would like more information on the row, please visit www.worldrecordrow.com where you can also read the latest rowing blog - the challenge has it it's own facebook group and daily progress can be followed on twitter

Thank you so much,

Dave x
