Charity Shop Challenge · 9 October 2009

Since 1965 we've helped people find a life beyond homelessness & addiction. Embedded in East London, we provide places to stay, address the complex causes of addiction, run classes to help develop skills, confidence & build vital social connections and help people establish a lasting recovery.

Story

Welcome to the Wragge & Co Charity Shop Challenge page!

A bit of background

On Friday 9 October four teams from across the capital will take over the running of a charity shop, competing to see who can increase their shop's average daily takings the most. And it's all for a great cause - to raise money for the Spitalfields Crypt Trust. The Charity Shop Challenge is now in its third year and has already raised thousands, and we're aiming to make it another great year for the charity.

Wragge & Co's team will be taking over a shop in Commercial Street, Spitalfields. On the day the team will be Stuart Young, Peter Thorne, Andy Stylianou, Emmanuelle Strauven, Rita Vartoukian, Angela Perry, Sophie Braithwaite and Simon Dickens.

We'll be selling coffee and delicious home made cakes from the shop, and running promotions inside the shop to raise as much money as possible. We hope you can come along to "our" charity shop on the day to show us your support, but you don’t have to wait until then to contribute.

Please dig deep and give genoruously via this page for what will be an amazing day, all for a worthwhile cause that really needs your donation. Just follow the instructions!

About the charity

The Spitalfields Crypt Trust started in the 1960s helping local homeless people in the immediate area through assistance in rehabilitation, drop in centres, a life skills and training centre, hostels and housing projects. The charity is solely funded by donations and does not receive any type of grant or government assistance. To give you an idea of the amount of money they need to run all their wonderful projects, they need to raise about £200,000 - £300,000 each year. So please give as much as you can!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
