WJM & Running4Renewables
Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP are delighted to be supporting the Koru Foundation through the renewable energy industry’s fundraising vehicle, Running4Renewables. Running4Renewables supporters enter teams into various marathons, half-marathons, fun runs and other running events.
The Koru Foundation invests in renewable energy projects around the world, bringing new technologies to developing countries, through tackling energy poverty. As a key member of the renewable energy industry, we believe in bringing the benefits of renewables to all and so are raising money for Koru’s work.
And that’s where you come in – we’d like you to sponsor a team or an individual.
Not only are we sponsoring the Run4Renewables section of the ‘Hairy Haggis Relay’ event, we’re also entering 3 fundraising teams into the race. It’s being run on the same day as the Edinburgh marathon – 23rd May 2010.
Trained and led by the Renewable Energy Group’s Leader, Andy McFarlane, the teams are:
Race for the Pedicure – Stacy McGill, Andy McFarlane, Lyndsey Cavanagh and Joanna Eades. Armed with pumice stones, files and scarlet nail polish, they’re going to present a strong challenge (the name was selected before Andy joined the team and it is now unfortunately too late to change it!) Andy joins the team as a late entrant - he was due to run for another non-WJM team before we sponsored the Hairy Haggis relay, however we have persuaded them to let him run for us instead!
We can run faster than Eddie Izzard! - Jacqui Mitchell, Louise Cleary, Michael Hankinson, Neil Morrison will be donning their skirts and running for the line. We’re not sure whether Jacqui & Louise will be in guy’s gear or Michael & Neil in drag but it’ll be interesting to see the team outfit!
If you want to sponsor the team to wear a particular outfit of your choice – you can do so for a generous donation.
Nelly's Elephants - Kirsty Nellany, Susie Henderson, Fraser Morrison and Martin O'Neill will be packing their trunks and, hopefully, heading for the finish line rather than the circus. Mind you, if they perform badly . . .
The teams and individual members are looking for sponsorship so dig deep and donate using the secure server.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
