Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

First of all thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Why am I doing this insane challenge of running a marathon?  Well first of all I need to get fit and lose about 6 stones of my current 19.  The second and most important reason is that my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer about 18 months ago and it really knocked our whole family sideways - hearing the C word.

However the Prostate Cancer's information and care has helped us all come to terms with the impact of the disease and as I speak father dear is in fine shape and is disapearing off to Austrailia to visit my brother.

Prostate cancer is one of the most treatable and controllable cancers affecting men but it is also a silent killer for thousands of men in the UK.  The prostate cancer Charity helps thousands of men like my dad accross the UK and funds research into finding a complete cure for disease whihc currently doesn't exist.

Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Prostate Cancer Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
