March On Cancer · 11 October 2014

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

Jonny is only 21 and has been diagnosed with an inoperable tumour. He has been going through chemo at the moment, which quite frankly is a bit of a bummer, so we are doing this sponsored march on his behalf. We want to raise as much money as we can for Cancer Research UK as part of Stand up for Cancer.

We won't be doing anything as drastic as running or the like, but will be doing a brisk march around London between 7.30-9.00pm on Saturday the 11th of October. It is described more eloquently below:

'Our London March On Cancer starts under the sparkling lights of Tower Bridge on the Southbank of the River Thames. You'll take in the iconic landmarks of our capital city, including the Shard, The Globe and Tate Modern. Marchers then head into the City of London, across the Millennium Bridge, passing St Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London.'

We would very much appreciate anything you would like to give,

Lucy and Lizzie x
