Hogan Lovells 3 Day Vietnam Cycle Challenge · 1 June 2017

Saving babies from their first breath - advancing neonatal intensive care in Vietnam to help close the gap between developing and developed world standards of newborn care. Our work addresses the critical shortage of nurses, trained health workers and basic specialist lifesaving equipment.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

The plan is to cycle 150km per day for THREE straight days through the hilliest part of Vietnam at the start of June. The first day will be extra fun as it involves climbing over 2,500m too!

I've been training like a dervish for the last few months (my bike has broken twice with the stress and my lycra is a little less lumpy than it used to be...).

The funds we raise will be donated to Newborns Vietnam who are dedicated to saving the lives of premature babies that would not otherwise survive. They have succeeded in reducing neo-natal mortality in the Da Nang area by 50% in the 4 years since they started work - via improved equipment and training. They are raising funds to roll out their work to other major cities in Vietnam. If you would like to read more about the charity you can find them  at www.newbornsvietnam.org

I will be cycling with a group of my partners from work and our clients - some of whom are worryingly fit, so please rest assured that if you do chose to donate, I will be working hard for your money!

Thank you SO much in advance for any money you can spare for this great cause.
