Xander's Heroes Run 2016

Thanks for taking the time to visit Xander's first JustGiving page.
Please come join, cheer, sponsor and/or hang out with Felix's Superhero Team as they hit the Hove seafront for the EIGHTH year.
The last time Xander entered he did the 500m dash dressed as Indiana Jones, age 6; this time he'll be running 5K as a Ghostbuster - photo here below - David's constructed a proton pack from bits in the loft. :)
Here's some information about Team Felix's involvement in the run, from Felix's mum and dad, Colleen and Matt White - look out for Team Felix's silver capes on the day:
"Last year was a big success on many accounts. We managed to pull together a fantastic team with 122 capes proudly blowing in the sunshine....what an amazing and emotional sight that was to behold! Team Felix also managed to rake in 3 awards for first place in the Kid’s Youth Mile (well done Harry!), first place for the 5km (first woman in was our very own Grace!) and also, the Biggest Team of the day award. But as we all know, it’s not about the winning (despite what Matt says)....it’s about the fundraising and last year we smashed it. Team Felix managed to raise a stonking £7,338.47 for Solving Kid’s Cancer. This is an incredible amount of money and the charity was blown away by this donation. Solving Kid’s Cancer is the new name for The Neuroblastoma Alliance. Our UK charity has joined forces with the U.S. which means that kids here can access treatment more easily between the two countries as well providing much needed funding directly to the amazing work of people like Dr Maris, our doctor at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, who we believe will be part of finding a cure one day.
In addition to this, last year Team Felix was also able to donate £9,655 to Pass It on Africa, which is the charity that organises the Superheroes Run. Our contribution has enabled Build Africa to build a new classroom and administrative office at the Nyantonzi school in rural Africa, in honour of Felix. We have been receiving progress reports over the year and construction is well underway. Below is a video which sums up the legacy of this project, the empowerment of women. We will update you as soon as construction is complete, which is aimed for October this year!

Many thanks for whatever you can afford to donate to continuing research into childhood cancer.
