Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Yorkshire Eye Research half marathon team JustGiving page.

Last year, the YER team finished 10th out of a field of 90 teams and, together with a number of individual runners, raised over £2000 to support research into the causes and treatment of eye disease in Yorkshire. Please support the team in its effort to move even higher up the leaderboard. Will Colin be able to replace Debbie in the key anchor role?

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Forget the London marathon - the Leeds course has more hills, so please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

1 in 7 people in the UK are visually impaired; here in Yorkshire we are doing something about it! NERC Yorkshire funds research into the causes, prevention and treatment of diseases of the eye and the disabilities which these cause. Further details here: http://nerc-yorkshire.co.uk/
