Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Imagine waking up in the morning and walking. The walking some more, infact you don't stop walking. It goes dark, you need sleep. You keep walking. It's now after midnight, yep your still walking. You've not stopped walking in hours, apart from a couple of minutes here and there.

The sun starts to rise, your still walking..........in fact you've been walking pretty much non stop for almost 24 hours. Sounds horrendous doesn't it?

Well that is what awaits the Year of Madness - Lakeland 50 Division on the 28th July 2012 as they trek 50 miles through the lakes and aim to have completed all this withnin 24 hours.

So who is crazy enough to not only consider doing this but sign up as well!!

The team is:

Eddie Whittle

John McDonough

Tim Ingram

Mark Fitzsimmons

Julia Hartley

So why are they doing this? You may well ask!!

The challenge is part of the Year of Madness, where Eddie and John aim to complete 12 challenge in 12 months. They are being joined on various challenges with friends who will share the pain and suffering. In fact Tim, Julia and Mark have joined in previous challenges as well and enjoyed them so much they are back for more!

But the main aim of all this is to raise as much money and awareness for 4 wonderful charities, close to our hearts.

You can sponsor us for the BHF here or see www.madness4charity.co.uk for the other 3 charites we are supporting.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
